graphic design noun: the art or profession of visual communication that combines images, words, and ideas to convey information to an audience, especially to produce a specific effect.

Carrie L. Case

My dad was an artist and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. As I entered Junior High I knew I wanted to do something artistic and in 8th grade learned of something called “commercial design” and that was it…that’s what I wanted to do. I kept my eye on the prize, was accepted to Cornish College of Arts but at the suggestion of my brother decided to get a “well-rounded education” and attended WSU (Go Cougs!). One of the best decisions of my life because not only did I develop the creative side of me, I learned the business of advertising and psychology of people. So this is what I do. My goal is to design to make a positive difference in the world and the lives of others. Someone once said, “When He gives you a gift, you better use it.” I like to believe I’m using it.
